MOTORISTS in the west of Ipswich were held up this morning after a driver ploughed into the back of a lorry at the junction of Whitehouse Road and Norwich Road.
Police had previously tried to stop the driver, who was in a Honda car, in the Bramford Road area, but the unnamed motorist continued regardless.
Officers quickly perused the car which drove away but the Honda made off before crashing into the lorry.
The ambulance service was called at 10.54am and a crew attended the scene, treating one person for possible leg injuries.
The driver was taken to Ipswich Hospital and was expected to be interviewed by police officers later.
