ORGANISERS today announced a further addition to the line-up at this year's Ipswich and Suffolk Press Ball.Singer Adam Chandler - of TV X Factor's five-strong band Future Proof fame - will join legendary pop group The Original Buck's Fizz at the glittering event.

ORGANISERS today announced a further addition to the line-up at this year's Ipswich and Suffolk Press Ball.

Singer Adam Chandler - of TV X Factor's five-strong band Future Proof fame - will join legendary pop group The Original Buck's Fizz at the glittering event.

The 23-year-old crooner, who performed at last year's Press Ball, will entertain the expected 400 guests at the Champagne Ball themed evening.

Adam said: “I am delighted to be performing again at the Ipswich and Suffolk Press Ball. This has been an amazing year for me and this is a fantastic night that I am proud to be part of.”

Bridget York, creative director of top London events firm Entire Affair, said: “Adam appeared at the 2007 Press Ball and went down a storm.

“Since then he has been going from strength to strength. He has a fantastic voice and a unique talent and I am delighted to announce we have been able to secure his services for this year's event.”

Star editor Nigel Pickover said the Ipswich and Suffolk Press Ball organising team are hoping to raise a whopping £20,000 for charity.

He added: “With the incredible talent of Adam as well as the ideas of our creative team I have every confidence this will be the best ever Press Ball.”

Regularly supported by the business community the Press Ball is once again sponsored by Ipswich firm Call Connection.

Graeme Kalbraier, managing director of Call Connection, said: “I am delighted the Call Connection is to sponsor the 2008 Press Ball.

“These are fantastic charities and Adam's presence alongside Buck's Fizz will make for a spectacular evening for the guests.”

Since the inaugural ball in 1997 the press ball has raised thousands for charity.

Special guest star's have included magician Paul Daniels, comic Bobby Davro and singer Tony Hadley.

Music, dancing, fine food and wines are followed by an auction and tombola with prizes donated by a number of businesses and organisations.

The ball is to be held at the Hotel Elizabeth, Copdock, on Friday June 20.

Adam was born and brought up in Kent and lives at home with his Mum and sister.

Adam a full time singer.

He has been singing for eleven years.

At the age of 18 he owned his own entertainments company.

Adam's musical influences include Stevie Wonder, Lionel Ritchie, Ray Charles and Frank Sinatra.
