A BRITISH airline is calling on the government to provide additional security staff at UK airports.
Ryanair claims big airports, like Stansted, cannot cope with the extra security checks put in place over the last few days.
All passengers are now required to be body searched before they fly, compared with just a quarter of passengers previously.
Michael O'Leary, chief executive officer for Ryanair, said airports would have ground to a halt last week if flights had not been cancelled due to the increased security procedures.
