A man in his 40s has been taken to Ipswich Hospital after a collision between a car and a pedestrian in Ipswich today.

Emergency services rushed to the scene in Fore Hamlet after receiving reports of the collision at around 1.55pm this afternoon, Tuesday, August 1.

An ambulance crew treated the pedestrian at the scene.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust said: “An ambulance crew attended to a man, believed to be in his 40s, who had minor injuries.

“He was taken to Ipswich Hospital for further care.”

A police spokeswoman added: “Suffolk police were contacted by the ambulance service at around 2pm to reports of a collision in Fore Hamlet in Ipswich.

“It was a collision between a car and a pedestrian.

“The male pedestrian was injured but it is not believed to be serious.

“The vehicle has been moved to the bus lane while police and ambulance worked at the scene.”
