A CHARITY calendar featuring local Hadleigh people in the guise of film stars has raised £395.16.

The money raised was originally going to be given to Hadleigh Animal Rescue, but the charity has since folded so the money raised has been distributed to PETA Europe (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), IFAW (International Fund for Animal Welfare), The Retired Greyhound Trust, Colchester, and Shelley Riding for the Disabled.

Copies of the calendar were also donated to various Hadleigh charities to sell and keep the proceeds for their own causes.

The calendar was conceived by Angela Thrower and Tiziana Stupia, of Hadleigh-based Misanthropy Records. They would like to thank everyone who supported the project. A few remaining calendars are available free of charge by calling 01473 828666.
