A full meeting of the MCC committee meeting voted by a majority of one to suspend him after he survived an initial vote calling for his expulsion, it was reported yesterday.
Lord Archer, 62, was told the news in Hollesley Bay open prison near Woodbridge, where he is serving a four year sentence for perjury and perverting the course of justice.
