Two would-be robbers wrestled a man to the floor in a Suffolk town last night in an attempt to steal his bag.

Suffolk police received reports of an attempted robbery in Langer Road, Felixstowe, at just before midnight.

“A couple of males have grabbed an adult male and tried to get his bag,” a force spokesman said.

“They wrestled him to the floor but left empty handed.”

Witness or anyone who knows what happened are asked to call Suffolk Constabulary on 101.
