The last pin has fallen for the current boss of a bowling alley in Ipswich, while a nearby restaurant closes its doors.

Bears American Bar & Restaurant in Star Lane near the Waterfront has shut but a new owner has already been found.

The business was launched at the beginning of 2014 by Charlie Manning, of Manning’s Amusements in Felixstowe.

The news of its closure was announced on the bar’s Facebook page, stating: “A big thank you to all our great customers for the last 3 years.

“The new owners will be in very soon and we wish them the best of luck, so please show them your support.”
