AN inquest is to be carried out after a 50-year-old boat builder was found dead in the River Deben at Woodbridge close to the boatyard where he worked.
Colin Parrish lived on a twin-masted boat Nellie on the River Deben which was moored at the end of a private jetty leading from Everson's boatyard.
Mr Parrish, who celebrated his 50th birthday this month, worked at Eversons and he finished last Thursday for the festive season.
He was found in the river on Saturday around 8.30am by a member of the public.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said; “Suffolk police will be treating the man's death as unexplained. A post mortem will be carried out in due course.”
