Bond-style car on offer

BARN conversion specialist Andy Mexome needs a licence to sell so he's throwing his James Bond-style car as an incentive to help shift his luxury home.

Willow Barn, Creeting near Stowmarket is a stunning home; with exposed brickwork and beams, vaulted ceilings and large picture windows and it is on sale for £850,000.

The owner is heading off to the sun to avoid Britain's winter weather and, in order to help his home sell in these difficult times, is offering his 2008 model Aston Martin Vantage Roadster to be included in the sale.

The Vantage Roadster - ice blue with a navy blue hood - has a list price of £98,000 and a top speed of 175 mph.

With 4,800 miles on the clock the car is like new and, says Andy, is fully loaded with extras including satnav and a Bose sound system.

“It is a magnificent machine,” he said. “The sound of the engine is absolutely awesome.”

Andy used to compete on the professional windsurfing circuit and is hoping to fly to Asia to compete in the Asian windsurfing series.

The main home includes a dining hall, drawing room, fully fitted kitchen, study, utility room, games room, boiler room and cloakroom. The master bedroom has an “egg” bath and en suite shower room.

The guest suite includes a bedroom, dressing room and bathroom and there are two further bedrooms and a family bathroom.
