Book shop and beauty salon are broken into in St Matthews Street, Ipswich

A bookshop and beauty salon in St Matthews Street were broken into earlier this week.

Both break-ins happened in the street, in Ipswich, between 5pm on Tuesday and 10am the following morning.

A police spokeswoman said: “A bookshop was broken into, an untidy search made and a 40-inch television, an amount of cash from a charity box and jewellery stolen from within.

“A beauty salon was also broken into and an untidy search made, but it is not known if anything was stolen.”
