POLICE are today investigating the reported accosting of a ten-year-old boy in Ipswich.

The incident happened at the junction of Kelly Road and Lavenham Road at around 7.15pm yesterday.

The boy was playing with friends on the green in Kelly Road when a man pulled up in a black BMW Z3. The man wound down the window, called out to the boy and asked him if he would like to get in the car.

The boy ran home and told his parents, while the car was seen to drive off in the Milden Road area.

The driver is described as white, in his late 20s, with a bald or closely shaven head and a small moustache.

Meanwhile, police in Felixstowe are today appealing for a motorist to come forward after his behaviour worried a teenage girl.

The 16-year-old was walking in St Andrews Road when a dark green M-reg saloon passed her.

The driver smiled at her and pulled into Croutel Road, turned round and drove past her again, before turning round and driving back again slowly. The car stopped and the man said hello, before driving away.

Police believe there may have been an innocent explanation for the driver's behaviour, but say they still need to talk to him.

He is described as 35 to 40, with a shaven head, tanned skin, and was wearing a black T-shirt.

Anyone who has information on either incident should telephone police on 01473 613500.
