POLICE were called to the Orwell bridge after three boys were reported walking along the bridge's outside ledge.
A member of public is believed to have called police at 2.10pm yesterday claiming three male youths had climbed over the bridge and were walking along it.
Thames Coastguard were also made aware but, when police arrived at the scene, the boys could not be seen.
The incident was reported to have happened on the west bound carriageway at Wherstead.
