Bucklesham Grange care home took advantage of the sunny weekend weather as it played host to a street party to mark VE Day on Sunday.
Residents at the care home, on Bucklesham Road, were served buffet food and enjoyed a sing-along to some war time songs at the 1940s-themed event, which marked 71 years since the end of the Second World War.
The street party was held in the grounds of the care home, and residents and their friends and family were invited to attend.
Resident and war veteran John Le Mare, who wore his military beret and war medals to the event, said: “It was a lovely afternoon and was fantastic to celebrate VE day.”
Lifestyle assistant Tanya Finch said: “All of the residents thoroughly enjoyed themselves and took the opportunity to reminisce over past times. I think we celebrated VE Day in the best possible way we could.”
