Buddy and Cricketers head to Spa

FELIXSTOWE'S Spa Pavilion is to host Buddy Holly and the Cricketers it has today been announced. Described as the “greatest Buddy Holly show on earth”, the act will perform at the venue on January 17.

Julie Howes, Spa Pavilion general manager said: “Buddy Holly and The Cricketers have delighted audiences at theatres, clubs, open-air festivals and charity events in every corner of the British Isles and entertained folk as far afield as the West Indies, Europe, the Middle and Far East and on a mammoth eight week tour of the USA that took in 26 states and 10,000 miles of American highway.

“The show has graced royal occasions, testimonials for England rugby and cricket internationals, toured in aid of the English Schools' Cricket Association and starred as the celebrity band at Professional Cricket Association Awards dinner, the highlight of the cricketing calendar.

“Featuring some of the finest and talented actor-musicians in the business, whose combined West End credits include Buddy, Return to The Forbidden Planet, Jailhouse Rock and Sunday In The Park With George.

“This ultimate family show is guaranteed to have everyone singing along to the music and dancing in the aisles to such immortal hits as That'll Be The Day, Peggy Sue, It Doesn't Matter Anymore, Raining In My Heart and Oh Boy!”
