AN elderly woman in Suffolk has become the latest victim of distraction burglars, it emerged today.

Two burglars targeted the woman, who is in her 90s, at her home yesterday.

The woman, of Ellough Road, Beccles, noticed the men in her back garden around midday and went to ask what they were doing.

One of the men engaged her in conversation and she tried to get him to leave her property, but he continued to talk to her.

Meanwhile the second man left the woman with the first offender who continued to distract her for several minutes before leaving.

The second man was not seen by the woman again, but when she returned to her home she found several hundred pounds had been stolen.

The first offender is described as white, possibly in his 30s, well-built but not fat, with collar-length light-coloured hair.
