PASSENGERS are happier with the service they get from Ipswich Buses a survey has revealed.
The customer questionnaire, which is carried out annually by an independent company, found that 86 per cent of people were happy with the reliability of the bus service.
A total of 98pc of those surveyed said they were satisfied with the time their journey took and 75pc were content with the frequency of the buses.
Overall satisfaction with the service provided was rated at 91pc.
And with the current credit crunch hitting people's pockets, more than 80pc of bus travellers said they were satisfied with the cost of their journey.
Passengers who have started using buses in the last six months are made up of 77pc of former car users.
The statistics showed an improvement compared to last year's survey results.
Managing Director of Ipswich Buses Ltd Malcolm Robson said: “Our company are extremely pleased with the outcome of our annual public consultation process for 2009, but will not be resting on our laurels as we strive to continue to improve our services to promote sustainable travel options for local residents of Ipswich.”
