The manager at business centre Basepoint Ipswich, Alison Morrissey, is planning to jump out of a plane for a charity that supports the elderly.

Alison will be accompanied by her son Ryan Pitcher who works for Call Connection in Ipswich. Both are fundraising to help Age UK and their work with older people.

They are due to take part in a tandem SkyDive from 13,000ft over Beccles Airfield on June 4 - and are raising money on a JustGiving page with several hundred pounds already pledged.

Alison said: “I have seen first hand the loneliness that the elderly experience and the beneficial way in which AGE UK works to support them.

“There are no government grants or funds to help - they rely on fundraising and donations. This is why Basepoint Ipswich have them as their chosen charity this year and why I will be jumping to raise funds.”

“Please join me in supporting them, we all get old.”
