Basepoint Business Centre, at Ransomes Europark, is hosting a summer family fun day on Friday August 21, in aid of the Cancer Campaign for Suffolk.

The event is from 11am to 3pm, at 70-72 The Havens (opposite Macro),

Admission is £5 to include a burger or hot dog plus a hot drink.

Attractions include a power boat, from the Lowestoft & Oulton Broad Power Boat Club, a mobile photo booth (with props), face painting, balloon modelling and giant games.

There will be a number of other smaller attractions, a tombolo and a prize raffle.

Centre manager Alison Morrissey said:”We adopt a local charity for three years and last year, although our fun day was primarily for licensees, we raised £600 for the charity.

“It was so popular we wanted to throw it open to the public.

“We are hoping the business and local community will support it again.

“We have worked hard preparing for it and hopefully we can double the amount raised last year.

“Our raffle, with some very good prizes, has already raised £150.

“We just want people to come along now.”
