IT'S a sell out!

On the day boyband V are added to the line-up, it has been announced that all tickets for Busted's Ipswich summer concert have been sold.

With 15,000 screaming fans now set to converge on Christchurch Park on July 16 the concert, a homecoming for Busted's Charlie Simpson who hails from Woodbridge, promises to be a musical spectacular to remember and one of the highlights of this year's entertainment calendar.

Promoter John Hessenthaler said: "It's encouraging to sell out less than six weeks before the event and an indication that Ipswich can stand this level of act. It's a template for events to come."

Busted have enjoyed phenomenal success since their debut single What I Go To School For entered the charts at number three in September 2002. Several number ones singles and a couple of number one albums later and Charlie, Matt Jay and James Bourne are undoubtedly one of the biggest names in pop. Their Ipswich date is just another in a constant stream of sell out gigs across the world, although it will be extra special as it will be Charlie's first gig on home turf with the band.

Not only that but they will now be joined by another of the country's up and coming pop acts, V, who will join McFly in a supporting role.

V come from the same stable as both Busted and McFly and recently made their debut on the music scene with the number six single Blood Sweat & Tears.

V are 20-year-olds Kevin McDaid, Mark Harle and Aaron Buckingham, 21-year-old Leon Pisani and 21-year-old Antony Brant and are more than happy to adopt the 'boyband' tag often disliked by other young male pop groups.

They came together early last year, after approaching Busted's management, and have since been developing and showcasing the sound, with some 60 songs already recorded.

Leon said: "We're going back to basics. With us it's tunes first, distressed jeans later."

V have also been winning fans left, right and centre, helped in large part by their association with Busted who they supported on their recent 24-date arena tour. Come July they will no doubt have their own fair share of Suffolk fans ready to scream their support.

And although the Busted concert is now officially sold out more bands are set to be added to the line-up during the coming weeks.

Busted, supported by McFly and V, will be performing in Christchurch Park, Ipswich, on July 16. Tickets are now sold out but to add your name to the reserves list call the ticketline from 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday on 0870 2255 163/164/165.
