FIREFIGHTERS experienced a busy night yesterday with several incidents across the county.At 8.10pm, a crew from Stowmarket was called to Clay Cottage in Hundred Lane, Old Newton, near Stowmarket, following reports of a chimney fire.
FIREFIGHTERS experienced a busy night yesterday with several incidents across the county.
At 8.10pm, a crew from Stowmarket was called to Clay Cottage in Hundred Lane, Old Newton, near Stowmarket, following reports of a chimney fire.
They extinguished the flames and the incident was over by 8.45pm.
Two crews from Newmarket went to the scene of a van fire in Nimbus Way, Newmarket, at 7.30pm. They left the scene by 8.45pm.
There was also a car fire at the Granary car park, Station Hill, Thurston. Two crews from Bury St Edmunds attended and the incident was finished by 8.10pm.
Four people had to be rescued from a car which had crashed in London Road, Weston, near Beccles. Crews from Beccles, Bungay, and a rescue tender from Lowestoft attended the scene at 7.50pm. The stop for the incident was received at 8.20pm.
