A LUCKY three legged cat is looking forward to a new home with loving Ipswich owners after surviving a nasty run in with a car.

The cat, aptly named 'Trio', had to have a series of operations when he was brought in to Ipswich Cats Protection in May.

He had to have one of his back legs amputated and now hops about with little trouble on his remaining three.

His temporary foster carer, Sheila Smith, of Egglestone Close, Ipswich, said: “He gets around quite well considering the disability.

“It seems his only back leg has moved into the middle, hence the name Trio.”

Trio the cat is now looking forward to moving into his new home with an Ipswich family next weekend when they return from holiday.

Mrs Smith said: “The lady came in to the shop and she had just lost her cat a few months before and she was considering getting another one.

“I told her about Trio, and she and the family came to see him and fell in love with him straight away and they decided to have him.”

To give Trio a home call Ipswich Cats Protection on 01473 690084.
