TWO Vietnamese men who helped to operate cannabis farms set up in houses in Suffolk have been jailed.

The pair were each told they would be paid £500 a month to water and care for plants being grown at two separate properties in Bury St Edmunds and Red Lodge, near Mildenhall.

In addition to jailing Dung Luu, 39, and Hung Tran, 22, Judge John Holt said he would be recommending to the Home Secretary that both were deported at the end of their sentences.

Ipswich Crown Court heard how the men were arrested in July during a series of police raids on addresses in west Suffolk.

Both men admitted being involved in the production of cannabis.

Luu was jailed for six months, while Tran was jailed for nine.
