Police were called to a road traffic collision on the Waterfront in Ipswich.
The incident happened shortly before 3.30pm in Key Street where a white Ford collided with the central island pedestrian crossing.
Both lanes remain open with traffic able to get by while a recovery vehicle is on its away.
There appeared to be no injuries at the scene.
