Police officers in Clacton are asking for help to trace a man in connection with a robbery.

CCTV images of a man the force would like to speak to have been released to help identify him.

The robbery took place at a betting shop, Jennings Racing, in Pier Avenue at around 6.20pm today (Sunday, May 14).

During the incident a member of the shop’s staff was grabbed and threatened with what is believed to be a knife before a four-figure sum of cash was taken.

The assailant made off along Pier Avenue and Marine Parade West in the direction of Agate Road.

Officers would like to speak to the man pictured in the CCTV images and anyone who recognises him is asked to contact Dc Dave Brooks at Clacton CID on 101 quoting incident 836 of 14/05.
