A CHARITY is looking for people to sign up to an off-road adventure event, which is bound to get you messy.

Teams are invited to join in The Whole Hog at Wantisden Hall near Melton on Sunday, November 2, in aid of St Elizabeth Hospice. The event, organised by Adventure Challenge Events, involves a seven-mile running course featuring a wide variety of exciting tasks and challenges.

Added extras include a human 4x4 course and the wet and muddy Wantisden swamps. Both individuals and teams of three people are welcome to take part and there will be prizes for the top three in each category.

Laura Backhouse, a community fundraiser at St Elizabeth Hospice, said: “Last year employees from PKF and Attwells Solicitors took part in the Whole Hog event, raising just over £1,000 in sponsorship for St Elizabeth Hospice, which could help to pay for three visits from the Hospice at Home team.

“It is a tough and challenging event but lots of fun and perfect for team building. We would love both individuals and teams from organisations, groups or companies to sign up for this year's exciting event and enable us to continue to care for our patients and their families, friends and carers.”

The minimum age for participants is 16 and the event is open to all levels of fitness.
