GLORIOUS sunshine brought out the crowds to enjoy classic vehicles from yesteryear.
Last year the Hacheston Bygones Rally was a wash-out, raining hard all day, but this year it was blessed with warm weather which organisers say made it a record success.
Alan Mutimer, of Hacheston Events, said: “We are still going through the figures but the preliminary indications are that we have had our best ever attendance and the most profitable for charity, probably somewhere around £3,000.
“It was an excellent day and everyone had a great time with plenty to see and do.”
The event, held on a meadow near the village church, featured classic cars and vintage vehicles, including motorbikes and commercial vehicles, farm machinery and stationary engines.
Most of the money will go to the East Anglian Air Ambulance, hospice and Childhood Eye Cancer Trust, as well as local charities.
It was the eighth time the event had been held and the organisers also arrange the Hachfest music festival, distributing funds from the events later in the year.
