THIRSTY thieves are being hunted today after raiding the Hotel Elizabeth in Copdock twice in one night to steal booze from the cellar.

The first incident occurred at the hotel in Old London Road, between 6pm and 6.20pm last Thursday.

Police said two males broke into to the stores before stealing alcohol.

One of the offenders is described as white, in his late teens and was wearing a grey hooded top.

The second male is said to have been white and in his late teens. He was wearing a dark-coloured hooded top and a dark blue baseball cap.

A silver Citroen Saxo, which is being linked to the burglary, was seen in the area at the time.

The cheeky burglars are then believed to have returned to the hotel by the side of the old A12, to raid it again less than six hours later.

This time however, a different vehicle is thought to have been used to take the alcohol away.

The booze burglars broke into the cellar again between 11.45pm Thursday and 12.10am Friday.

The getaway vehicle was a light-coloured Vauxhall Astra.

Anyone who knows anything about either of these thefts should telephone Pc Anne Hart at Hadleigh police station on 01473 613500.
