FIRE crews were called to a farm in the region after around 16,000 tonnes of chicken waste caught light.Crews were called to a farm on The Street in Bridgham, Norfolk, at around 1pm on Sunday.
FIRE crews were called to a farm in the region after around 16,000 tonnes of chicken waste caught light.
Crews were called to a farm on The Street in Bridgham, Norfolk, at around 1pm on Sunday .
The farmer reported around 16,000 tonnes of chicken excrement on fire.
Crews remained on scene damping down the fire until around 4.35pm at which time the incident was handed over to the farmer.
Fire officers attended the scene every three hours from that time to monitor the fire.
