Children took part in Easter egg hunts, storytelling sessions, face painting and arts and crafts during a two-day event of free activities during the school holidays.

Dubbed the shopping centre’s Easter eggs-travaganza, the event kicked off at 11.30am and ended at 4.30pm in the Upper Mall, close to River Island.

Parents and children also took part in colouring competitions.

Sailmakers manager Mike Sorhaindo said: “There was so much going on with lots of children having a good time so it was very successful.

“It was great to see them there, sitting on bean bags and listening to stories like Beauty and the Beast or taking part in the various activities like making Easter cards.

“We appreciate that keeping children occupied during the school holidays can be a challenge so we like to try and help out with some free activities and we’re delighted that they have gone down so well with our customers.”
