CHRISTMAS Eve rail travellers are being forewarned by Anglia Railways and Great Eastern that services to and from London will be severely limited.
Anglia's InterCity trains will run a normal weekday schedule from Liverpool Street until 17.30, after which only three mainline services will run – at 18.30, 19.30 and 20.30.
The 17.30 will make an additional stop at Colchester, the 18.30 will call at Manningtree, and the 19.30 and 20.30 will both call at Colchester, Manningtree, Ipswich, Stowmarket, Diss and Norwich.
On Great Eastern's services, the last train from Ipswich to London is 20.00 and from Ipswich to Colchester 21.30. Last departure from Colchester to London is 20.23 and from Braintree 19.58, both services calling at Witham and Chelmsford and other intermediate stations. Last train from Braintree to Witham is 21.46 and from Harwich Town to Colchester 21.30.
