IPSWICH: Classic cars, motorcycles, lorries, buses and military vehicles were revving up in Christchurch Park this morning for the 40th annual Historic Vehicle Run.

Despite the wet weather scores of people mingled in the park before they were seen off.

Attractions this year include a 1936 Morris 10 which took part in the inaugural Ipswich to Felixstowe run.

The Mayor of Ipswich, David Goldsmith, was due to inspect the vehicles before they departed for Felixstowe at noon.

The first vehicles are due to line up on the seafront from around 12.45pm.
