A SUFFOLK college is offering prospective students of all ages a chance to find out more about its courses and facilities at a special open day.

Otley College is holding the event on Saturday - a chance for people to chat to tutors and receive guidance on careers.

The event runs from 9.30am to 12.30pm and takes place at the main college site, just outside Ipswich, and will include regular tours of the college campus and its new developments.

Otley College spokesman John Nice said: “Lots of exciting developments have taken place at the college in the last two years and even more investment is taking place right now, so it is definitely a great time to come and see what is going on at Otley and an even better time to become a part of college life.”

The college has many new facilities, including a £500,000 state-of-the-art equestrian arena and centre, and a new construction block, at its 30-acre site in Charity Lane, Otley.

New courses include fishery studies, sport and outdoor education, plumbing and Otley has also just announced a brand new leisure learning guide for adults.

Otley also offers courses in agriculture, animal studies, apprenticeships, business, conservation, construction, engineering, foodskills, higher education, horse studies, horticulture, land-based studies, outdoor education pre-foundation studies and sport.

The day will also be a chance for students to find out about Otley's expanding relationship with the county's new higher educational establishment, University Campus Suffolk (UCS).
