TWO community officers from west Suffolk from Suffolk Constabulary have been nominated for prestigious national awards.
Andre de Jongh, who formerly worked as a game ranger in South Africa, has been shortlisted for the Community Support Officer of the Year award in the Jane's Police Review Gala Awards.
Pc Jon Eaves has been nominated for the Community Police Officer of the Year Award for his work deterring anti-social behaviour and fly-tipping and consistently submitting a high quality of community intelligence.
The awards ceremony takes place in London on Thursday and the shortlist comprises of officers from across the forces in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
