A CONTAINER vessel has run aground in the Dover Strait today, creating a potential hazard for other vessels.Dover Coastguard was contacted by LT Cortesia, a German-registered carrying 42,785 tonnes of cargo in containers, at 5am today after it was stranded nine miles south of Dover Harbour.

Dover Coastguard was contacted by LT Cortesia, a German-registered carrying 42,785 tonnes of cargo in containers, at 5am today after it was stranded nine miles south of Dover Harbour.
The coastguard has sent the Anglian Monarch towing vessel to warn approaching vessels and assess the situation.
