Glamour and glitz at the Masqerade Ball
There was plenty of soul and sophistication at the Cameo Hotel, Copdock on Saturday at the summer Masquerade Ball,
There guys and galls looking their best in glamorous gowns and sharp suits in an evening of fashion, good company and music and dancing.
This first summer event was organised by Mandy Errington owner of Deja Vue Boutique in Norwich Road, Ipswich and Tony Walters of Reminisce.
Many of those who attended had pulled out all the stops in the spirit of the occasion, with many stunning outfits, and great competition to be just judged “best at the ball.”
The entertainment on the night included sets by TV star Jade Mayjean Peters, accompanied by guitarist Jermaine Bernard, and later by soul singer MJ Soul and plenty of dancing.
There was also fundraising on the night, with a gold ticket raffle, in support of nominated charity St Elizabeth Hospice.
Mandy Errington said: “it was a superb night, but a lot of hard work putting it all together.
“It was mainly myself and Tony, though we had great support from our sponsors and people helping out with their time.
“I was extremely delighted with the turn out. We had a really good response.
“For a first time it was extremely well received.
Everybody seemed to enjoy themselves.
“The mix of fashion, live performances and soul musi for dancing worked really well.
“Yes, we are already planning next year’s event. It has been a steep learning curve, and there are a few things we will do differently. I think a lot of people seemed to enjoy it.”
