A group of travellers arrived at Ipswich Village car park yesterday afternoon.
Now Ipswich Borough Council is taking “all necessary steps” required to remove them from the site, which is near the town’s railway station.
Today council officials have been liaising with their partners in a bid to resolve the situation.
A spokesman for the council said: “We are aware that a group of travellers arrived on Sunday afternoon and we are following all the necessary procedures to secure possession of the site.”
