POLICE are hunting a burglar who scaled the side of a flat to break in through a first floor balcony.
Officers want to hear from anyone who saw a man climbing up the building in Penfold Road, Clacton, between 10pm on Wednesday and noon yesterday.
The thief bagged a pink laptop, mp3 player and other items, together worth a three-figure sum, after causing 100 damage by breaking open the balcony door.
Investigating officer, Pc Sarah Scott, said: “The flat and balcony are in full view of the road and we hope that someone walking past might have seen a person shimmying up to the balcony.
