BIG Brother star Darnell is to appear on a passionate pop song which should get everyone swooning in time for Valentines Day.

The BB9 runner-up who was born and spent his early years in Ipswich has teamed up with London based songstress Melanie Jean to record the romantic single in support of AIDS charity Keep a Child Alive.

'Rollercoaster' is available on the internet and described by 25-year-old singer-songwriter Jean as a catchy pop number about desire. She said: “It's like when you see someone or meet them for the first time and you really like them. Sometimes you can't stop thinking about that person or get them out of your head.”

The partnership between Darnell and Jean came about by chance when the two met in the studio. Jean said: “I was doing something for the label he is signed to and we met each other. He's a really nice, very humble guy who wants to be successful and help other people and has very kindly featured on this record.”

Darnell can be heard rapping on the single which was originally released in December but re-launched in time for Valentines Day next month.

Half the money made from sales of Rollercoaster will be donated to Keep a Child Alive Keep - a charity dedicated to providing life-saving treatment and care to children and their families with HIV/AIDS in Africa and the developing world.
