An Ipswich woman is deciding what to splash her winnings on after scooping £30,000 with the People’s Postcode Lottery.
Margaret Proctor won the cash thanks to her postcode being drawn as the street prize winner – landing her tens of thousands of pounds.
Joined by her sisters Frances and Theresa, the 64-year-old was presented with her cheque late last month. She said: “I don’t know what to say, just thank you, thank you, thank you! I’m not quite sure what I’m going to spend my winnings on yet – some of it will get spent, some of it will get saved and some of it will be given away.”
People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Jeff Brazier said: “It was fantastic to meet Margaret today and to surprise her with her cheque.
“I hope she enjoys spending her winnings and treats herself to something special.”
A minimum of 31% of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised more than £229 million to date for more than 3,000 good causes.
Suffolk-based charity ActivLives was awarded £19,990 by the company last year to support an environmental conservation project for people from a disadvantaged background.
