Details have been unveiled of a series of five lunchtime lectures taking place at Ipswich Tourist Information Centre next week on different aspects of the town’s history.
Ipswich Arts Centre and the Ipswich Society have teamed up to present five 20-minute talks from 1pm each weekday next week.
Monday’s talk is entitled Building Stones before Tuesday’s talk will be about the Ipswich Corn Exchange organ.
On Wednesday the blue plaques in town will be discussed, ahead of Thursday’s talk entitled Ghost Sign.
The week concludes with a talk on the Ipswich Society and its work in the town.
The talks are part of an ‘open house’ week showcasing the work of dozens of arts groups in the town which are part of the association.
Entry to the exhibition and the talks are free, with the exhibition continuing until Saturday, June 17.
