A MAN is in a poor condition today following a road accident on the A134 at Long Melford.The 60-year-old driver of a red Vauxhall suffered head injuries and internal bleeding and had to be airlifted to Addenbrooke's Hospital after his car left the road and crashed into a fence.
A MAN is in a poor condition today following a road accident on the A134 at Long Melford.
The 60-year-old driver of a red Vauxhall suffered head injuries and internal bleeding and had to be airlifted to Addenbrooke's Hospital after his car left the road and crashed into a fence.
No other vehicle was involved in the accident which happened at approximately 2.50pm on Sunday on the Long Melford bypass.
Traffic was diverted away from the crash and the road was closed for more than three hours while crash investigators examined the scene.
Police are appealing for anybody who saw the accident to contact Suffolk police on 01473 613500.
