SEVEN people have been arrested after a drunken argument turned to violence in Swaffham, Norfolk.

Ten people were involved in an argument outside the White Hart Inn, in London Street, in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The argument began to get out of control and as a result police arrested seven people for various offences.

A 22-year-old man was cautioned for common assault, another 22-year-old man was charged with assaulting a police officer and two men and a woman received penalty notices for being drunk and disorderly.

Another man and one woman remain under investigation.
