THESE are the faces of the two men police want to trace in connection with the kidnap of a security guard and robbery of a yard in Felixstowe.

The e-fits, compiled by two separate witnesses, both show white men, around 5ft 8in tall with dark brown hair in a short crew cut style. Police believe both e-fits could be of the same man.

The first is of slim build and was well spoken, with an accent described as educated and local.

He was wearing a black peaked cap with white embroidered "police" logo written in capitals on the front, a black waist length nylon jacket with a "plice" (not police) logo on the left breast, black trousers and shiny footwear. He also wore a utility belt.

The second e-fit shows a man of slightly larger build who wore similar clothing.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may be able to put a name to either of the faces and would also like to speak to anyone who may have information regarding two sites in Essex following the raid which took place at a haulage yard in Blofield Road, Felixstowe, on Saturday evening.

The first is where a lorry was recovered – the A130 at Howe Green.

Acting Detective Inspector Allan Forbes said they were interested to talk to anyone who may have seen the lorry there.

"We would appeal to anyone who may have seen the lorry in the area between 7am and noon on Monday, January 21, to come forward.

"The tractor unit and the container – which is grey in colour and bears a Maersk name and logo with a seven pointed white star on a light blue square background – was recovered that afternoon but we believe people may have more information about it which can help this enquiry.

"We would also like to hear from anyone in the Rivenhall area, just off the A12, who may have seen three lorries or a white transit style van on Saturday evening.

"We believe that the vehicles may have stopped here during the evening and that some activity took place on a gravel area. Anyone who may have seen anything in this area is asked to call us."

Police would also still like to hear from anyone who may have seen the three lorries and the white transit-style van in Essex and are appealing for anyone with information to contact Felixstowe CID on 01473 383300 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
