Farmer Christmas arrives at Witnesham Primary School to dish out gifts...on a tractor!
Santa swapped his sleigh for a more rural ride on Thursday as he paid a visit to a Suffolk primary school atop a tractor as Farmer Christmas.
Easton and Otley College farm lecturer John Attridge arrived at Witnesham Primary School, where the college has a partnership, on a tractor to visit eager youngsters and parents and hand out gifts.
He posed for photos and handed out sweets before seeing the children in the school’s grotto.
Headteacher Jan Hubbard-Whitehead, said: “It is wonderful. This is the second year this has happened.
“We are grateful and it’s not only lovely for the children, it also it enhances our local links with the college. I definitely think we have some farmers of the future(at Witnesham.”
Earlier in the year pupils from the school visited the college to help name some of the newborn lambs.
Mr Attridge added that it was “ a pleasure” to visit.
