Suffolk singing superstar Ed Sheeran has announced he is cancelling five upcoming tour dates in Asia after fracturing his wrist in a bicycle accident.
The 26-year-old posted on Instagram, with help from a friend, that he was unable to play shows in Taipei, Osaka, Seoul, Tokyo and Hong Kong.
The post said doctors had confirmed he had fractured his right wrist and left elbow.
He said he is going to wait and see how the fractures heal before deciding on whether he can play further upcoming tour dates.
The instagram post said: “A visit to my doctors confirmed fractures in my right wrist and left elbow that will leave me unable to perform live concerts for the immediate future.
“Sadly, this means that the following shows will not be able to go ahead as planned: Taipei, Osaka, Seoul, Tokyo and Hong Kong.
“I’m waiting to see how the healing progresses before we have to decide on shows beyond that.
