SONGSTRESS Elkie Brooks has cancelled her show at the Corn Exchange in Ipswich this Thursday after contracting laryngitis, it emerged tonight.
The show has now been re-arranged for Saturday 17th January 2009.
A spokesman for The Corn Exchange said “The show had to be cancelled as Elkie has contracted a bad case of laryngitis, which could damage her voice and put the rest of the tour in jeopardy if she were to sing.
“Although it's very disappointing for fans that she's had to pull out of her show this week, the tour date has been re-arranged for Saturday 17th January 2009, and she very much looks forward to seeing her fans then.
“Anyone who has previously bought tickets will be able to attend her new tour date in January, but if anyone has any queries, to contact the box office on 01473 433100.”
