Norman Hume, in charge of highways and transportation, said: “Our gritting crews have done exceptionally well in extreme winter conditions for the second time this year in Essex.
“In order to keep the county moving as effectively as possible we need to focus our efforts on the precautionary or 'primary' network and I would urge residents to take extreme care if venturing out.”
