An alleged drink driver crashed his BMW 525 estate into a wall and collided with three other vehicles in Sidegate Lane yesterday afternoon.
Mateus Kowalczyk, 30, of Newnham Court, Ipswich has been charged with drink driving following the crash.
He has been bailed to appear at South East Suffolk Magistrates’ Court next month.
A Toyota Avensis, a VW Polo Twist and a moped were also involved in yesterday’s collision, which happened at the junction of Sidegate Lane with Stradbroke Road at 3.04pm.
There were no injuries reported but there was damage to the garden wall and the vehicles involved.
