STILL reeling in shock and disbelief at his murder conviction, Simon Hall's family and many friends today united and pledged to clear his name.
The support of others and their own strength of belief in his innocence sustains them as they work towards his appeal being heard.
Hall's devastated mother Lynne today broke her silence to speak to The Evening Star for the sake of her son.
The 25-year-old, of Hill House Road, Ipswich, is awaiting sentence next week for the murder of Capel St Mary pensioner Joan Albert on December 16, 2001.
Mrs Hall, 54, said: "The support has been wonderful and I now know what a lovely place Capel really is.
"People have grabbed me in the Co-op and hugged me and been very supportive."
